Guston's Studio

Thinking of Schwontkowski, and the show he curated with Guston et al, I was reminded of how much I've always loved the view of Guston's studio with all the small works of objects. I read once that they were inspired by some image he saw in Siena(?) of the symbols of some medieval guilds(??). I will have to go back and look into that...
